Under Pressure : ethnographie sensorielle des présences humaines en mer
Le projet expérimental et interdisciplinaire Under Pressure, mené par une équipe d’océanographes et d’anthropologues audiovisuels, repense les modes d’exploration sous-marine en se penchant sur la complexité des interconnexions entre les espèces marines et les activités humaines dans la baie de Marseille. Ce territoire est un espace riche en biodiversité, mais aussi fortement impacté par les pressions anthropiques, telles que la pollution, le transport maritime et le tourisme. Under Pressure associe différentes expertises scientifiques pour mieux comprendre et représenter les interactions entre humains et non-humains à travers une approche audiovisuelle expérimentale, tant dans sa méthodologie de terrain collaborative que dans sa forme finale, centrée sur une immersion sensorielle. S’appuyant sur l’ethnographie multisensorielle, cette approche met en lumière les enchevêtrements interspécifiques et défie les représentations binaires entre terre et mer, humain et non-humain. Ce texte aborde les enjeux techniques, méthodologiques et épistémologiques de la capture visuelle et sonore sous-marine. L’article accompagne un film expérimental qui explore de nouvelles modalités de représentations des relations entre humains et non-humains sous l’horizon.
